Pros

I have been with Methodist for many years. I have have been able to grow and move into other areas and responsibilities with full support and encouragement from direct management. They want to see you happy and successful as it directly affects your job performance. Senior leadership often expresses gratitude and appreciation for employees. The work we do here matters and they make sure we know it. The benefits are competitive and hard to beat and there is a year end bonus and other nice things that are done for us through the year like employee appreciation. Many departments are able to work remotely which has been wonderful!

Cons

I really can't think of any cons to working for MHS.

Thank you for your 5-star review! Wow. Your glowing report almost makes us blush! We really appreciate it, but we disagree with one point. You (and all our employees) are in no way "little people." You are giant heroes to us!

Pros

Money Insurance Good Boss Good coworkers Enjoyed orientation

Cons

During the orientation, they tell employees that their health is important. As health professionals, our health has to be good so we can take care of our patients and make their health better. However, Methodist Health System makes it extremely hard for an employee if they don’t have enough PTO to be able to get the help they need. So say you don’t have enough PTO but you need a doctors appointment that you have to go to. You’re gonna get a write up and those write ups eventually turn into termination. So where is the grace in the health system? Methodist would be a wonderful place to work if they truly understood their employees are human. I had someone pass away and I couldn’t even go to their funeral because I didn’t have the PTO and couldn’t afford to get a write up. I would’ve loved to have been able to go to my uncle’s funeral. Did anyone care know all you get is sorry for your loss, but you don’t have enough PTO…. So crappy. You’re BEYOND REPLACEABLE and they make sure you know it.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are truly sorry to hear about your loss. No one should feel unsupported when navigating what was clearly a very difficult time. At Methodist Health System, we strive to care for our employees with the same compassion we extend to our patients. We recognize that policies and processes can sometimes feel impersonal, and your feedback is important. We are committed to fostering a culture where leaders listen, respond with empathy, and work toward solutions whenever possible. We encourage you to reach out to your HR partner or a trusted leader so we can better understand your situation and explore how we can support you. Your voice matters, and we remain dedicated to making Methodist a place where our team members feel valued and cared for.
