DON’T WORK HERE!!!! - Resident Director Miami University Employee Review

These are the Worst people I’ve ever met! PLEASE don’t apply or accept a position here! I’ve never been more dehumanized, overworked, and underpaid in my career. Over the summer, half the professional staff quits because the environment is SO toxic, and they immediately attribute it to “natural attrition.” Miami culture is hyperaggressive, to the degree that students don’t even want to go to college here and many graduate in 3 years or less. Student body are bratty, rich kids who have never been told “no” a day in their lives, and the parents now expect others to teach them to be decent people. When students don’t get their way, they report you (full-time, pro staff) to their supervisors because they know their daddies will make a phone call and solve any problem they’re experiencing. Terrible Job. Terrible Students. Terrible Culture = NOT Worth having Miami on your resume!!!!
