      Pros

      Strong Union (I guess I am not sure how strong it is now). It was a good school for my discipline as well. There were some ladders to climb for NTT faculty members.

      Cons

      Overall, the salary was much lower than what I received from other institutions. I am sure there are many universities with equivalent salaries, but saving up a lot was challenging.

      Great medical benefits, good amount of PTO and paid parental leave.

      Pros

      The HPC facilities (HPCC, ICER) offer excellent access for research affiliates colpaborating with university researchers, with Slurm job scheduling and a well-managed site-specific wiki.

      Cons

      Annual account renewal can be a bit bureacratically clunky at times, and the Research Affiliate may have to coordinate with multiple departments and the associated PI if a system update breaks part of a legacy system.
