The newer senior management team is sincerely interested in the well-being of employees, including safety, opportunities for advancement, training, and benefits, which are fairly good.

Some of the ways of doing things are still stuck in the past.

Well known industry with lots to learn. Questions generally answered when asked. Good comradery among coworkers. Local factory management cares for the work they do and take a lot of pride in each site. Lots of knowledge within the company that rivals some great names within the Sugar industry.

Poorly defined goals with not many opportunities outside of supervision. Equipment maintenance undervalued from the corporate office. Corporate directors and management disconnected from factories. Farmer owned cooperative, lots of local pressure for operations performance with little care for failing equipment inside of factories. Money often given to Agriculture (Beet harvesting and delivery) and Packaging (Sugar in the bag) divisions ahead of Operations (Sugar extraction from beets). Human Resource group seems too bothered to help when asked simple inquiries.
