Pros

Some of the co-workers you'll meet are some of the nicest people you can meet. But, alas, it's difficult to fully filter out the good and bad, and that's generalizing good and bad to a severe degree. The health benefits are decent. There are employee discounts, but more than likely not on the items you actually want.

Cons

Home Office located in Ohio seems to desire being omnipotent, but are far from it. Besides having ludicrous policies that change faster than certain chemicals react to air, their standards are near to impossible to meet. Their budgeting is also the worst when it comes to hiring the bare minimum of employees to take the stress off of the workers. Some stores might have it better, but where it's not, it's a nightmare. The amount of work some stores have to do is insane and is not worth the salary we receive. The logistics of the entire company is flawed and will do much better with an entirely different and upgraded system. The career opportunities are either locked away behind egregious demands, or are selected based on nothing at all. Very rarely have they promoted people that were actually well-liked and respected.

Pros

The pros of being a CSR at Micro Center include a very positive working environment, with friendly CSRs and dedicated leadership who are all happy to help you when needed. Getting along with other CSRs and the FELs has been extremely easy as they have all been very welcoming and knowledgeable. You also have the opportunity to learn a lot about everything at the store so that you can effectively and efficiently help customers with anything that they need.

Cons

The only cons about the job are that you may sometimes have negative experiences with customers as well as not knowing about small, intricate details that actually have pretty large effects. It can also be unclear about what opportunities there are to advance in position, as sometimes management doesn't maintain communication with workers unless it's about something the worker did wrong.
