For starters, when COVID hit all lobbies were closed. Everyone thought this was a good decision and had no complaints. With this, traffic came to a very slow halt. What was decided to try and bring it back? We COLD CALL customers about opening a CD or HELOC. Hello!? People are getting laid off from their jobs in this pandemic, who has money to spare in a long term CD or go into debt? On top of this, they wanted us to really push the online services (online banking, mobile app, deposit checks from your phone, etc.) What for? Do you want to increase traffic or not? On top of this, higher up management loved to brag how great the bank was doing and how we supposedly saw a good growth when it came to deposits and everywhere else in the bank. Then in early September, many employees got the surprise news IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WORK DAY that branches were closing and certain people would be let go. Then they tell those who were affected to not tell anyone outside the bank, but it didn't take long for it to spread on social media. They also had the audacity to try and brag that no employees were furloughed or anything like that. What a joke! Again, I loved my team so much and I'm thankful to still be close with them, but some of the company decisions really makes you think "what in the world?"
