Pros

Working for Mike's I always felt like my passions and my work aligned. The people that work there love what they do and you can feel that in day-to-day life. I got to work with customers directly and you can tell that they love and respect the brand as well.

Cons

Because it is still a small place, moving up can be challenging. I ultimately moved on because I didn't see growth looking a few years out. I think they will continue to expand and those possibilities will open up but for now, things can feel stagnant. I also found competition between stores and ecommerce to be challenging but I hear that has changed.

Thanks for the comments. You're right, based largely on staff and client feedback, we did address the competition between online and in-store. Under the new plan, the online sales team has converted to Sales Support and their new charge is to leverage our online resources and inside sales knowledge to assist store staff and improve the in-store customer experience. The reviews so far have been great.

Pros

Good list of brands to get EP deals on. Benefits are actually competitive for the bike industry.

Cons

Consistently hire for roles without posting the job internally, After being bought by PON the company has adopted many practices to stifle employees and limit growth to maximize profits at all costs. It feels like it’s being eaten from the inside out and will soon be a shell of what it once was.
