Pros

Great learning about lean manufacturing and 5s. Great employees to work with. Good experience for fast pace production.

Cons

Management views employees as numbers not people. They focus on employees who brown nose instead of taking care of the high qualified employees who preform. I built team and broke records but continued to get passed up for promotion. I was promised opportunity and positions and then they pulled them back. Total lack of respect.

Thank you so much for providing your feedback. We love to hear that you enjoyed the lean manufacturing culture and the employees you work with. As you mention though, overtime is an issue and Milgard recognizes that - it has a significant impact on our employee's and their families. We are making every effort to evaluate the situation and make adjustments to help reduce the need for overtime.

Pros

Compensation is great People are awesome Lots of perks like educational reimbursement and volunteer work Lots of focus on safety, very few incidents HSA and company match benefits Upper management is wonderful and engaging

Cons

Work/Life Balance gets a one star rating Vehemently against remote and hybrid work. Says that working in the office is vital to creating relationships even though we all stay in our cubicles and all of the meetings are on Teams Middle management seems checked out Lots of peer pressure to work in office even when sick. Nobody is asked to go home if they come in hacking up a lung. Very few feel like they have the freedom and ability to take advantage of their vacation time. Over working yourself is seen as a value here, but isn't recognized as going above and beyond. It's an expectation. Seasonal whiplash - mandatory OT in the summer months, followed by hours possibly getting cut back in the winter months
