Pros
Great benefits - cheapest health insurance in the Fox Valley, except for maybe one other company. Great vacation and sick time is encouraged to be used before the end of the year. They listen - if your role isn't a good fit, they will be kind enough to listen and explore other alternatives. I started at Miller electric in a role that didn't challenge my skillset. After only 90 days, they set me up with a few interviews and offered a promotion into a role that will, definitely, bring on the challenges. I'm so excited to build a future for my family through Miller Electric, and I'm excited to return the favor and help Miller Electric continue to grow.
Cons
Production can work long 57 hour mandatory overtime weeks - they call it voluntary - but if you don't volunteer, it's mandatory. It's not all year but it does happen based on business needs. Mandatory would be a more accurate description. Besides that, everyone you work with is great! Lots of opportunities for advancement. No workplace is perfect and this one is better than most, by a lot. So grateful that a recruiter reached out to me before I made the employer change.
