Pros
1. Some of the people who were really talented but more importantly good-natured, which is the only reason I stuck around. Many of these amazing individuals have either left by themselves or have been let go of. 2. You'll find a few good people higher up, but they're few and far between. Those good people help you gain great exposure, and are kind enough to keep an eye out for you. If you don't have another offer and you join, make sure you find one of these people.
Cons
Many analysts I worked with appeared chronically burned out trying to meet their hours. Conversations about this almost took precedence over most things, which was funny until it wasn't. This did not seem sustainable, and is simply not indicative of a healthy work environment. This crunch didn't stop at junior levels and went to APs and some far more senior consultants, many who had said their goodbyes to me last year, before I left myself. Prior to starting, I heard about the balance being bad here, and that turned to personal accounts affecting lives not long after I stepped in. There is a general impression that this place is top-heavy, but last year many colleagues junior to me did not feel secure about their roles, to the point where it wasn't a very comfortable atmosphere to live with.
