Pros

Genuinely interesting projects, extensive professional resources, bright and capable coworkers, wide variety of projects.

Cons

This branch of Milliman truly is a victim of their own success. The managing partners bring in tons of business, but the financial incentive for them to do so overloads everybody and causes deterioration of the work environment. Actuarial analysts struggle to study for exams; the workday usually stretches far into the evenings (and weekends); consultants' rash client promises unfairly overload project staff; the billable hour-based pay structure forces a choice between any semblance of work-life balance and reasonable pay; managers haphazardly and unfairly blame analysts for issues on their projects (often the result of vague guidance, poorly-defined expectations, or lack of knowledge about their own projects). Worst of all is that the managing partners realize the existence of these issues and just don't care. Their greed and desire to expand their business clearly outweighs their concern for the work environment. It's a shame too because the coworkers and projects are otherwise a sweet deal. The turnover here speaks for itself.
