In my department we are allowed to work from home. The company provides a bus pass. End of pros.
Cons
Working for Corporate is terrible. Communication from the top down is poor. Pay is poor in comparison to similar roles at other companies. Salary bands are not implemented equitably. Those leading employee resource groups should be compensated for their contributions. Managers do not leave, so the leadership does not change, and therefore there are no new ideas. The same ideas are recycled every 2-3 years. It's stale. Upward mobility is very limited. Existing leaders/managers take no accountability for poor department performance. A manager that was not well liked or well prepared for the role lost several team members because of terrible communication and management, and unreasonable expectations. But senior managers turn a blind eye because they do not want to deal with conflict of any kind. No one gets called out. There are no repercussions to poor performance. If you are considering a role in Corporate, run away.
