The position also gave me valuable experience working in a regulated laboratory, following SOPs, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to the safety testing of biologics and vaccines.
Cons
One challenge of the Associate Scientist role was that advancement became limited after reaching a certain level unless a higher-level position became available. The work could also involve long or unpredictable hours because some assays had strict timelines and could not always be paused. At times, overtime was restricted even when an assay required additional attention, which made scheduling and workload management more difficult.
