Pros
Direct managers were usually empathetic, helpful, responsive and flexible. Opportunities to learn new methods and contribute in unique ways. Rigorous training and awareness for inclusiveness and diversity. Excellent systems in place for standard operating procedures, issue reporting and escalation (Upper management just doesn't use these).
Cons
Safety and hazard reporting often neglected, and escalation has no effect. Have observed safety issues that were never addressed. Very high noise levels, but noise-cancelling ear protection is not allowed. Low opportunity for advancement. Employees who show initiative and skill are frequently given more responsibility without increase in pay. Equipment needs often go unaddressed. Morale declines, even as the demand for speed rises.
