Pros

-You get to work with brilliant & hard working people -The CEO is a genuinely good person who cares about his staff -You could not find a better HR team in a startup -The managers currently in place are all solid people. I really like my boss. -The pay is very generous & benefits are good for a small company -Salesforce certs & other certs (PMP, etc) paid for by company -Flexible schedule around parenting, life events, appointments, etc -Processes are being put in place to improve workflow -Interesting projects & use cases. The work you do truly helps millions of people -Occasional offsites to meet your team -Some people have left & come back to MB&A, that is rare

Cons

-High occurrence of burnout on some projects -Periods of high turnover in the past, but hiring decisions/role placement have improved a lot -Some clients are very demanding (happens in any company) -Government contracts can be challenging, especially now

Pros

MB&A is an exceptional environment for leaders who value autonomy and accountability. At the leadership, you’re trusted to lead—not micromanaged or boxed into a rigid role. There is real freedom to shape your portfolio, influence project strategy, and build a career path aligned with your strengths and interests rather than a predefined ladder. Leadership operates with a high degree of trust and transparency. Leaders are empowered to make decisions, innovate, and bring forward new ideas—whether related to client delivery, internal operations, or firm growth. You’re treated as a partner in the business, not just a delivery lead. The firm supports entrepreneurial thinking while maintaining a strong sense of collaboration and shared purpose. There’s flexibility in how you manage your time, your teams, and your professional development, which makes it possible to balance performance with sustainability. MB&A genuinely values outcomes over optics.

Cons

With autonomy comes responsibility and sometimes unmet expectations. This isn't an environment for those who want to work in silos, are uncomfortable with navigating ambiguity, or believe a deep hierarchy structure is best. True autonomy is not for everyone.

Pros

- All Hands on Deck Culture – No one is above rolling up their sleeves to do what needs to be done, from top executives to new hires. - Investment in Learning – The company actively encourages and supports professional development, particularly through certifications. - Mission-Driven Work – The work feels meaningful, especially with projects that impact government agencies and public services...especially these days. - Fast-Paced & Innovative – There’s a strong emphasis on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and delivering solutions quickly.

Cons

- Remote Work Isn’t for Everyone – The company operates in a totally remote environment, which can be a challenge for some. - Still Growing into Its Values – While the company has strong stated values, there’s still some work to be done in consistently reinforcing them in daily operations. - Workload Can Be Intense – The fast-paced environment means expectations are high, and it can feel like there’s always more to do. - GovCon - Most of the work is with the federal government and that is a bit risky these days but I believe they are working to expand commercially.
