Pros

*PHENOMENOL cafeteria with cheap prices. *Reasonably frequent and fun team building events. *Decent discount on tools when the program isn't paused due to supply chain issues. *Typically spending money and expensing things isn't an issue or a concern. *Well structured and laid out on-boarding process and if they hire in batches like they have been, you will attend training with your peers. *Somewhat fast timelines (9 months - 18 months) which can be stressful but also means you work on new projects more often. *Cheap health insurance and benefits *Reasonable compensation and PTO (for positions other than entry level) *Great coworkers and employees for the most part, except for leadership

Cons

*Leadership struggles and personality conflicts trickle down to employees *HR handles harassment and bullying claims poorly, retaliating towards employee whom brought up the issue which puts a target on your back. *Work-life balance: you will regularly be expected to work 50-60+ hours a week and have at least 1 if not more, evening meetings with China partners. *Leadership will only inform you of your performance "falling short" at a point where there is almost nothing you can do to recover (even if you don't even leave enough time if your day to use the restroom). Due to Wisconsin being an "at will" state for employment, they can terminate employment even if you have never been put on a Performance Incentive Plan (PIP) and only told to improve once. You get a month and even at that point, they basically have already made their decision, they just want to see how much more they can get out of you. Karma has an interesting way of coming back around because 60% of the leaders involved in my severance have been let go from company in the past 4 months. *If you are severed, you will not be allowed to go to your desk and retrieve your personal affects or property. You have to "trust" that everything will be returned to you, which in my case, it wasn't but it wasn't worth fighting over. *Encourages "candidness" of employee base but doesn't actually WANT to hear what is said. *First hand witnessed extreme discrimination against a fellow engineer of color. They were overworked, over delivered not only on their work but that of their peers as well. When it came time for recognition, the peer would didn't do the work received the recognition and promotion, even though leadership knew they didn't do the work. Additionally, they were often talked down to or talked differently to even though they had years more seniority than most of the managers. *My direct manager's treatment of the manufacturing partners in China was often disrespectful and made all of us on the calls, uncomfortable due to their behavior. Also ultimately led to some of the engineering partners on the China team, to leave the company because they were tired of being treated like garbage. *Managers gossip and share private information about fellow employees that should be private. For example, my supervisor was telling me about how certain employees will bend over backwards to keep the job due to the green card/visa process. He also shared details of family matters that other employees were having at home that was not only none of my business, but none of theirs as well. Shared with me which of my coworkers received bonuses, who was on the chopping block, who on the team he was upset at or who could make him look bad, and his personal opinions of others on my team. *Manager would call 3+ times per week after 8pm and want to have hour long conversations to vent and brain dump disconnected ideas and plans. This was extremely disrespectful and inconsiderate of personal time away from work when the conversation could have easily waited.

Pros

Great company perks, free food, trade shows, golf etc. Lots of travel, can be fun but also not when it’s 6 weeks in a row

Cons

Super cut throat personalities from a group of people. People that bark the loudest but do the least. Instead of a raise, they will give you free tickets to an event. Lots of travel
