No growth opportunities unless you're apart of the "click". Managers don't take time to coach and develop their people. I know that development should come from the employee seeking it on their own (some people aren't able) but why hire someone outside if you can coach and develop the very people that already love the company? All the good ones (people that really love Mimeo) either get let go or leave because they can't advance. Whats that leave Mimeo with? People who are only there to get a check.
