My department was chronically understaffed and under-resourced to fulfill the promises the sales team was coached to make our clients. It was incredibly stressful and frustrating and it felt as if year after year we were set up for failure, then financially penalized for it in order to soften the financial consequences for the shareholders and upper management, propagating a downward spiral.
