Pros

Easy commute and convenient business hours

Cons

During my interview, I had a detailed conversation with the owner about the scope of the role. I was explicitly told that bartenders were not expected to serve tables, with the exception of rare, voluntary situations (e.g., a short-staffed Mother’s Day). However, after I began working, I was informed that I would be responsible for serving both the patio (11 tables) and nearby booths (7 tables), in addition to bartending. When I brought this up with other bartenders, they shared similar experiences — the expectation to serve was never clearly disclosed during their interviews either. It appears this is a recurring pattern. The role seems structured to rely heavily on serving responsibilities, likely due to a lack of volume to justify a dedicated bartender. Unfortunately, this approach feels like a bait-and-switch, with the majority of your income coming from table service rather than bartending. Had the full scope of duties been communicated transparently during the interview process, I would have declined the job offer.

Pros

the only good thing is you get paid weekly

Cons

you would make more money doing doordash, or having 5 subscribers on onlyfans. This company relies heavily on the business/ lunch crowd and wants to be fine dining so badly but does not reach the bar compared to other restaurants in uptown. great for a quick weekly pay but i advise you dont even waste your time here.
