Pros
Leadership has good intentions, communication company wide is regular and in as much detail as they can provide.
Cons
Covid highlighted how thin the margins were with the layoff and furlough of so many employees. Those that were left or brought back from furlough were expected to keep the ship righted with such limited resources and no extra compensation or benefits. Being a respected high performer meant you took 3-4 peoples jobs on at the sacrifice of your life outside of work. “Balance” was preached but not practiced. While I always felt leadership had the best intentions there is a lot of corporate gaslighting and overpromising for growth and opportunity. You stuck around because you thought one day you would have growth based on what you were told, and that wasn’t really true. The expectation is that we all have skin in the game to make the company a success but aren’t provided any financial incentive. So many people with amazing potential work there, so I hope their work is recognized and rewarded before they lose more of them. Compensation and benefits are not as innovative or progressive as the company would like you to think. They’re really just okay in the industry. Many leaders are in those leadership roles at all levels for the first time, so they are also trying to figure out what they’re doing. When I left the company, my new employer asked me if I thought Mindbody would make it, and my answer was “yes because Vista won’t let them not make it.” This comes at a high price, literally and figuratively, of the culture and the people (and ultimately your bottom line when you lose those people).
