Breaking new ground is exciting and helping customers that are grateful to be helped in their own language is rewarding. There were many opportunities to creatively solve issues that made the job fun. Trust from supervisors to make decisions and move the customers on quickly. Management gave us access to advanced tools to help customers resolve unique issues international clients had. Management was usually responsive and supportive of ideas and solutions.
Cons
Development team not willing to take into account international needs when building software. For example reporting or invoicing issues. No continuity of culture and unity between other locations. Made cooperation difficult. The constant price increases drove away customers. Would have been better to stretch more time in between. Sale of company and Covid caused many loyal longtime workers to be laid off. Seems very disloyal and questionable.
