Pros

-Encouraging Atmosphere -Potential for Growth in an Awesome Market (Business+Wellness/Fitness+Technology) -Great People, Most people are so amazing and truly a pleasure to interact with -Great followthrough on encouraging Health & Wellness to its staff -CEO is very Real/Down-to-Earth and Truly Likable

Cons

-The lack of actual professionals who are experienced both in business and educational backgrounds related to their jobs -Compensation, this is not a joke. -The job description vs the actual day-to-day work is wildly different and more difficult -20 Days Paid Time off/Sick Days... Beware this is a very important detail -Work-Life balance is often preached with little opportunity to actually have balance, work is extremely stressful due to the lack of communication, lack of product training, lack of experienced leadership and lack of inter-departmental coordination/communication -There is no real training on the product, its trial by fire even after more than a year i wish i had the opportunity to truly learn the software properly, there are no such opportunities currently to learn the advanced mechanics of how the software is designed to function

Lots of good stuff in your review! Thank you! I’d love to respond to a few of your comments in detail: 1.Our new Director of Learning and Development is focused on the new hire experience and training our team members in a way that makes them even more successful and plugged in to the pulse of the company from day 1. 2. We have always had multiple tiers of training on the software, Platinum being the most intensive training for customer service professionals. Anyone can take these courses and learn more about the software. I agree that we need to be a little more in depth for other departments besides customer service, because let’s face it, our software ROCKS! 3. Regarding PTO, MINDBODY uses a bank PTO system. Check out this 2010 survey and see that even when compared to other companies who use the PTO bank, our policy of 20 vacation days per year is still very generous: http://bit.ly/1qAYG51. 4. Now, bear with me as I’m going to give you a little tough love: MINDBODY is looking for leaders who will step up and help make this company great without hesitation. If you see a process improvement, let your manager know! Do you see anything that needs critical change that could help us better do business and improve our process? Book a 1:1 with your manager to talk about it! These are great topics to bring up in your next quarterly check in, and you’ll be sure to get some extra bonus points for being a catalyst for change. We need you to make things happen for us. Maybe that starts with scheduling your recess breaks and making sure to go get a massage when you are starting to feel stressed. We give our employees full autonomy with managing their schedules and achieving balance. We work hard to play hard!

Pros

During my time at Mindbody, I was fortunate to work in an incredibly supportive team environment. The team was collaborative, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere where everyone’s ideas were valued. My managers played a key role in creating this supportive culture. They were not only approachable and encouraging, but also inspiring leaders who gave me the freedom to take initiative and grow within my role. One of the most rewarding aspects of my experience was the creative freedom I was given. I had the opportunity to explore new ideas and approach challenges in innovative ways, which made the work both exciting and fulfilling. This level of trust and autonomy helped me build my confidence, expand my skills, and develop as a professional. Additionally, the work culture at Mindbody emphasized collaboration, making it easy to share ideas and tackle problems togethe

Cons

While my experience at Mindbody was largely positive, there were a few challenges I encountered. One significant issue was the constant turnover in leadership. This frequent change in management created a sense of instability, as new leaders would often come in with different priorities and approaches. As a result, it sometimes felt like no one was on the same page, leading to a lack of direction and clarity. This inconsistency caused a fair amount of disorganization within the company, making it difficult to align on goals and strategies. The shifting leadership dynamics created some challenges in maintaining a consistent workflow and made it harder to build long-term plans. Despite the supportive team environment, this lack of continuity in leadership was a noticeable drawback.
