Pros

The focus on wellness is great. It's awesome to be encouraged to work out and that there's an expectation of healthy living. You really do get the opportunity to learn here, and that's probably more than you can get working in other companies like MINDBODY.

Cons

Have a concern about the company? Good luck finding someone who will listen. All but the customer service directors and VPs have closed offices and don't really mingle with the rest of the workforce. Want a promotion? The only people I've seen get promoted have either been out of convenience or because someone got pregnant. (And on that note, if you're consciously choosing not to have children or can't, be prepared to feel awkward all the time. There are lots of expectant mothers here, so there are constantly baby showers and people asking you when you're going to have a baby. I've been asked about when I'm going to get pregnant or that "I'm next" more times than is appropriate.) Pay isn't equivalent across departments. Some departments are offered major incentives for performance while others have to pay out of pocket for team building activities. It's really not fair or equitable.

Thank you for your review! I'm glad to hear that you appreciate the many opportunities to learn and grow in your career at MINDBODY. My first encouragement to you is to follow through with your manager with your thoughts and feedback that you have in mind. Yes, one on ones do get postponed or cancelled from time to time due to scheduling needs that occur, but it's okay (and encouraged) for you to check back in with your manager to reschedule! We're continuously evolving, and we want to hear your ideas for improvement. So much of our success as a company is due to the drive, ideas, and leadership of each and every one of our team members. MINDBODY is a family-friendly environment, as wellness and work-life balance are key parts of our values. We love our team members and their families, and we'll always be there to support and celebrate these incredible life moments with them as they move ahead into parenthood. The remarks you’ve listed are in fact inappropriate, so please refer to your manager or members of your People & Culture team if this continues to be issue. In regards to thoughts about promotions, yes, there always is a void to be filled when someone departs on maternity leave, but those who step up into new roles are those who have worked hard, are passionate about the company, and are seeking ways to better themselves and their teams. The process of promotion is always carefully thought out and planned by managers, and not something that is taken lightly. Each and every one of our teams play a vital role in the success of MINDBODY. Quite frankly, you and I wouldn't have jobs today if it wasn't for the next team over playing their part and bringing their unique skills to the table. Managers of each department are constantly advocating for the best for their teams, and improvements are consistently being sought in our processes. We are not perfect by any means, but we strive for wellness and health in our lives every day, as we've centered our core values around this pursuit. Please maximize your usage of our wellness benefits that are very much available to you on-site and off-site. Get a massage, participate in a fitness class or recess, and take breaks! Taking care of yourself is a priority, and we give full autonomy to our team members with achieving balance. As you know, we have 20 days of PTO per year in addition to national holidays, and additional sick days are available as well. All this is provided as we want the best for our team members. Thanks again for your review, and we hope all the best for you in your continuing journey with us!

Pros

During my time at Mindbody, I was fortunate to work in an incredibly supportive team environment. The team was collaborative, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere where everyone’s ideas were valued. My managers played a key role in creating this supportive culture. They were not only approachable and encouraging, but also inspiring leaders who gave me the freedom to take initiative and grow within my role. One of the most rewarding aspects of my experience was the creative freedom I was given. I had the opportunity to explore new ideas and approach challenges in innovative ways, which made the work both exciting and fulfilling. This level of trust and autonomy helped me build my confidence, expand my skills, and develop as a professional. Additionally, the work culture at Mindbody emphasized collaboration, making it easy to share ideas and tackle problems togethe

Cons

While my experience at Mindbody was largely positive, there were a few challenges I encountered. One significant issue was the constant turnover in leadership. This frequent change in management created a sense of instability, as new leaders would often come in with different priorities and approaches. As a result, it sometimes felt like no one was on the same page, leading to a lack of direction and clarity. This inconsistency caused a fair amount of disorganization within the company, making it difficult to align on goals and strategies. The shifting leadership dynamics created some challenges in maintaining a consistent workflow and made it harder to build long-term plans. Despite the supportive team environment, this lack of continuity in leadership was a noticeable drawback.
