Pros

Great team, challenging tasks. PM needs to manage not only engineering and processes but also art, music and sounds production, UX testing and a lot of other things. Which is actually great. Working day passes really fast because you have to do a lot of things.

Cons

I worked on a totally new company's project. It's not released yet. Things aren't set up. No clarity of business perspective of the project.I would never recommend this company if you’ll need to work directly with its CEO - Guy Z. For me communication with him felt like emotional abuse. Management meetings without rows and screams were really rare. Sometimes they were even cursing. Realistic forecasts of the project's release made him really mad. All employees have to work in “sprint marathon” mode. A lot of monkey job. There are tons of documents that have to be created and updated. Instead of doing real work, you have spent hours updating tens of dashboards. All this information could be found in task tracking systems but there was a need to move all updates manually to spreadsheets. Few times employees have to work until late night or even until next morning. It’s ok when there is real need in that but in those cases I haven't seen any reason. No-one even saied thank you to employes afterwards.  You would always feel wrong even if you are right and to prove that you have to go through many really tough argues.

Since we are not used to receiving negative feedback from our team members, especially in regard to our CEO, I must say that we are very concerned about the impact that the few weeks you spent at Mindojo has had on you and wish we could have addressed this sooner. Our leadership and executive team, including HR, have an open door policy to discuss and address any concerns that our team members might have and immediately incorporate corrective actions when a problem arises. This seems to be an unfortunate isolated event that we could have addressed and corrected had it been presented to us, because we have zero tolerance for any sort of hostile behavior, especially when it comes from our leadership or executive team. Since receiving your feedback, I have probed with other team members and could confirm that your experience does not represent or reflect the experience of others, including and especially the many team members who have been with us for several years working closely with our CEO. Nevertheless, Guy has requested that I relay to you his sincere apology for any negative impact he might have had on you. We very much appreciate your transparency and hope that you have found an organization that also offers proactive ways to correct behavior that could potentially be damaging to their team member`s drive and motivation, in addition to having an open door policy for concerns to be presented and addressed immediately in order to avoid losing talented and valuable team members. Pros

the project is actually meaningful - educational games for children - which is on the rarer side in the world of game development. Everyone at the studio is positive, friendly and highly skilled. If you like working remotely, this is the place for you, as this is a truly international team of developers!

Cons

working remotely can lead to some gaps, but those will be filled in by time as you get familiar with where everything is/who you need to talk to about what.

Pros

The interview process was quick and easy. I know they were in a time crunch, but after my written online application, I scheduled a Skype interview, which led to a second Skype interview and a job offer all within less than a week. Overall, the interview process was easy and low stress. Working for Mindojo has been great. The training process was a bit rushed and haphazard, but everyone was accommodating and interested in making the process better. Once you get the hang of your job, you can be pretty independent if you want. Personally, I was interested in a variety of tasks and was given the opportunity to do so. Once you get your foot in the door, it seems like you can move between roles very fluidly depending upon what you are interested in. If you do want to interact more with your coworkers, I found everyone to be pleasant and enjoyable to work with. Overall, it seems like the company has a lot of exciting things lined up for the future, so it feels like there is room to grow within the company if you are interested and motivated. Oh, and I forgot to mention, you get to work from home, which is wonderful. Most roles are very flexible with what hours you can work as well.

Cons

The full-time pay is a little bit deceiving because it is based upon 42 hours per week, which seems a bit high. If you work 35 hours per week (and all of your work time is logged), you will be getting 5/6th of your agreed upon pay. Also, the pay itself is already a bit on the low side.
