Pros
The in studio team is easily the best team I've ever managed. Though the company is no longer woman fronted, there is a high level of diversity in the company. Though I will complain about upper management in the cons, there are a couple members of upper management that truly care. Unfortunately, they are not the ones that you interact with regularly.
Cons
The upper management team was one of the worst I've ever had. They clearly prioritized profits over employees, to the extent that they would threaten mothers with hour cuts if they didn't pick up shifts that would require them to spend hundreds on child care. Goals are unrealistic and you are punished for taking care of your employees over focusing on profits. Almost every studio team I talked to had a negative opinion of the upper management team. Any issues in the store will be blamed on the studio manager regardless of who caused them. I had to submit HR complaints with proof that I was being blamed for problems caused by upper management in my store. There is a high level of favoritism. By the time I left, I had a list of things that upper management would regularly lecture me on but not other studio managers that I knew.
