      Pros

      Unit managers interested in staff satisfaction and retention. The pay is not bad, but low relative to the area cost of living/housing Good nurse to patient ratios Friendly/helpful coworkers Beautiful area to live Physicians and mid levels mostly easy to work with

      Cons

      Too top heavy They bring in upper management from outside trying to push for higher ratios that would make mission a much less desirable place to work -- don't let them ruin Mission!!

      Pros

      Full time hours, possible Overtime, I am on a great team, and the people there are really supportive and friendly . They welcomed the new comer with open arms and never once felt like a burden. I

      Short staffed, Not as consistent with some of the processes but they are working on it

      Pros

      Great nurses, resilient community, many leadership growth opportunities, large hospital with many specialties, the only level 1 trauma center in WNC.

      Cons

      The hours are very challenging. often 5am to 6pm M-F. No additional compensation for extra hours, nights, or on-call weekends. You must love the work, and have minimal need for work-life balance to enjoy working here.
