Pros

Great growth potential if you are willing to dance the dance. Mission stays on top of providing cutting edge health care.

Cons

Work environment is punitive in nature. Not much support if you are learning and not excelling fast enough. The emails all say we are here to support you, but I have not even met most of you and when I did it was in a crowded room to drum up support for changes and budget cuts.

Pros

Great nurses, resilient community, many leadership growth opportunities, large hospital with many specialties, the only level 1 trauma center in WNC.

Cons

The hours are very challenging. often 5am to 6pm M-F. No additional compensation for extra hours, nights, or on-call weekends. You must love the work, and have minimal need for work-life balance to enjoy working here.
