Pros
Its a fairly large organization so its easy to get lost in the shuffle. The pay is about average.
Cons
Top heavy on VPs (has over 30) and most programs are disproportionately geared to benefit those who make over 100k. Us at the bottom try to feed off the morsels they happen to drop. Like most companies/organizations the benefits used to be a lot better. Year after year I watched as many former benefits were either eliminated or reduced. Two years in a row, no one received a pay increase. The company match on retirement savings was reduced in half for new employees. The $200 quarterly incentive for healthy habits was reduced to $100, then to $75, then to $50, then was eliminated. The company acted like they were dead broke but shelled out money for acquiring as many hosptals, clinics, and outpatient surgery centers, as possible. Then went on to build a new $400 million massive new addition to the main hospital.
