      Great patients in this area of North Carolina

      Cons

      Horrible place to work. Management is a mess ever since HCA took over. Very unstable environment. Unclear policies. Don’t let you use your PTO and they will NOT pay out your PTO if you haven’t been here for a year. During the time I was here over half of the practice quit and moved to different jobs outside of HCA. All they care about it making money and have no interest in helping the patients.

      Full time hours, possible Overtime, I am on a great team, and the people there are really supportive and friendly . They welcomed the new comer with open arms and never once felt like a burden. I

      Short staffed, Not as consistent with some of the processes but they are working on it

      Pros

      Great nurses, resilient community, many leadership growth opportunities, large hospital with many specialties, the only level 1 trauma center in WNC.

      Cons

      The hours are very challenging. often 5am to 6pm M-F. No additional compensation for extra hours, nights, or on-call weekends. You must love the work, and have minimal need for work-life balance to enjoy working here.
