      Pros

      Great co-workers in department and in units. Most staff is very pleasant to work with.

      Cons

      At times, the physicians and providers can be unfriendly and it doesn't seem like a patient care team but rather a provider dictatorship, this can be detrimental to patient care. High Pharmacy Technician turnover rate, inadequate technician training. Many times leadership makes changes or plans without consulting staff to see how those changes will affect workflow.

      Full time hours, possible Overtime, I am on a great team, and the people there are really supportive and friendly . They welcomed the new comer with open arms and never once felt like a burden. I

      Short staffed, Not as consistent with some of the processes but they are working on it

      Pros

      Great nurses, resilient community, many leadership growth opportunities, large hospital with many specialties, the only level 1 trauma center in WNC.

      Cons

      The hours are very challenging. often 5am to 6pm M-F. No additional compensation for extra hours, nights, or on-call weekends. You must love the work, and have minimal need for work-life balance to enjoy working here.
