Pros

Health incentive's for employees, generally people are friendly.

Cons

The hospital's focus is on doctor's wages and development of new buildings, forcing the lay-off of hundreds of nurses, CNAs, administrators and other healthcare staff, no raises in three years, and no-job security.

Pros

Great nurses, resilient community, many leadership growth opportunities, large hospital with many specialties, the only level 1 trauma center in WNC.

Cons

The hours are very challenging. often 5am to 6pm M-F. No additional compensation for extra hours, nights, or on-call weekends. You must love the work, and have minimal need for work-life balance to enjoy working here.
