4/10 schedule High pay for those able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Government contract for national security means near guarantee of longevity.

Cons

Long commute. My department uses nefarious tactics to skirt policy and the law. Low confidence in truly safe radiation levels in working environment (high rates of chronic respiratory and cancer) Nevada has terrible worker protection rights.

Pros

A solid group of people to work with. Actual accrued vacation. Decent benefits, though they are expensive. There's an opportunity to work on interesting projects. The ability to work 4, 10-hour days is nice.

Cons

A callback to the office for all employees, even those hired as fully remote, has the place in turmoil. Communication from HR and senior management is nonexistent, leaving people in limbo for an extended period. Too many long-term employees have become complacent, making it difficult to get work done.
