Pros
Pros - good benefits, average pay. An organization that says it is growing. Lots of fringe benefits which are nice.
Cons
Biggest career mistake I ever made, for sure. One of the most disorganized places I have ever worked. With so many people, no one knows the guardrails of their roles. Priorities change on a moment's notice. Things get launched and then forgotten, there's no cultivation. You can give your everything and it won't get noticed. Instead of "what have you done lately" it is more like "what are you doing now?" Most people are covering multiple jobs and it barely gets a "thank you." It's expected. After hours work, it's expected. They'll burn you out with the craziness and not care. If you look at LinkedIn profiles of people who have worked at Moderna, you'll see an alarming amount of them only staying for a year or less. For a company with less than 4,000 employees, it's significant. It's a company that likes to hire experts from other pharma companies and industries that are much more mature organizations, and then they promptly ignore the advice they get from these new hires.
