-Senior level managers have never managed people before and don’t know how to -Super toxic environment means rapid employee turnover -Senior leadership wants to force mRNA to work across the board- trying to fit a square peg into a round hole -No work life balance. Expectation to be on call at all times -Leadership is notorious for “PIP” ing people out of their roles. Will give them impossible/unreasonable expectations in the PIP to force them out. -High level leaders frequently escorted out/asked to leave, leaving large gaps. -Company is overly involved in personal lives of employees -Minimal Diversity. There are almost no black people in the Cambridge office. -Though they make vaccines, moderna is not a public health company.
