Senior leadership went behind all middle management and directly made phone calls to hundreds of employees to let them know their time with the company was over - middle management found out from their direct reports. I've been a part of restructuring several times with different companies and this is the coldest I've ever seen a restructuring done. I understand there might be a need to reduce headcount, but the manner in which senior leadership did this cut is disgusting. They talk about open communication and transparency and then pull something like this. Not one word to people leaders below them - no one knew they were going to lose employees until the employees told their direct managers. Aside from this mafia-style senior leadership - it is not spoken, but expected that you work like a dog. The organization as a whole is chaotic and there is no RACI - often times even tenured employees are left scratching their heads to know who to turn to with a problem.
