Anyone who uploads positive reviews of Moderna is definitely a Cambridge employe in R&D making $150K to twiddle their thumbs in a fancy new building and drink their free frilly lattes while running one experiment a week. The vibes in Norwood are completely different. The stress at Moderna is insane, the competitiveness among people is out of control. People’s careers don’t advance unless you’re buddies with the directors. Too many people are the only SMEs on certain processes to the point that they can’t take a day off without everything grinding to a halt. You also can’t take a day off because everything changes all of the time. Stuff is pulled in and pushed out almost on the daily to the point that you cannot even focus on one thing because you’re constantly scrambling to try to keep up with whatever the new priority is. A company that can’t decide and stick to a schedule will not make it in the long term.
