Pros

After everything our team went through together because of micro management and daily managerial harassment, (before everyone was pushed beyond burn out), we were unstoppable. There was at least one person on our team everyday tasked with an urgent project multiple departments were relying on and most of the team would find a way to cover them so they could get it done to the best of their ability. We supported each other not only professionally, but emotionally as well. This was done time and time again without the help of our manager, as managing the team was not priority. Because of this job, I’ve learned a great deal about how people can be driven to succeed using competition as a driving force alone without any ounce of genuine care or passion for what they do. That aside, some genuinely passionate and inspiring people work here and sadly will continue to be held back in their roles because of the environment they have to work with.

Cons

Bullying, gaslighting, and threats of getting fired were a daily occurrence. If we weren’t being used as a punching bag for the frustrations of management throughout multiple departments, then we were being thrown into meetings without notice to be used as an excuse for the incompetency and laziness of our manager who behind the computer screen could be seen relaxing with shoes off scrolling on the phone. Our managerial team ensured that we were placed into situations on a daily basis where we could not properly prepare ahead of time resulting in harassment by other managerial teams as a result for “our” incompetencies. Throughout the day, our manager would interrupt our own meetings and critical work to resolve her lack of understanding with responsibilities pertaining to her job alone. Blatantly ignoring our impossible workload, our manager would force us to sit with her and explain basic issues that had already been resolved or issues we were actively in other urgent communication for, often causing us to have to leave others waiting on the completion of our work. Some individuals on our team were often forced to sit in on meetings unbeknownst to the other meeting attendees and asked to explain to our manager what was actively occurring in those meetings. Having to hold our managers hand throughout the day so she could understand the basics of her job greatly took away from what we were able to complete, leading to conversations from our senior manager and the same manager about our work priorities and lack of efficiency. Our team was barely able to keep our heads above water while those from other teams we relied on for critical information and updates were in the same boat. What came out of us bringing these issues to light was an incredibly unprofessional and childish yelling fit from our senior manager and a passive aggressive environment where we could do nothing good no matter what our numbers showed, all because we “hurt our managers feelings”.

This is by far the most chaotic and dysfunctional organization I have ever been part of, and honestly the worst I've ever heard of. I can't believe how many new employees just hand back their signing bonus and leave. And good for them! The only reason anything gets accomplished in the clinical regulatory space is because the people who really believe in mRNA therapies stick with their therapeutic area and weather the storm of gross incompetence, bullying, and constant running in the wrong direction just because the loudest person in the room is always listened to, and she is never, ever correct. Their recent reorgs saw some of the most talented, experienced, and kind individuals exited by the company. They are thriving in their new positions. This place is NOT worth your sanity, peace, talent, joy, and you ARE going to be bullied and gaslit. All the negative reviews on Glassdoor are on the money. There is no reason to join this organization unless you genuinely have no regard for other employees, are just a ladder climber, and want to make some extra cash and stock options.
