Pros

I am a sales professional that has used Glassdoor during every major career decision, including the decision to join this company over two years ago, so I am happy to make a contribution for the benefit of job-seekers out there. I will speak from my personal experience and observations. The postings on this site are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Modernizing Medicine. Work Life Balance - You will find no calendar micromanagement here. In fact, a significant portion of the team often exercises together during lunch. I live on the east coast and I am currently working western time zones; this has never been an issue for me to balance. I live nearby, so three times a week I go home to my apartment, run to the beach and back, get a quick workout in, and come back to work and finish out a full day of work, which has to be the favorite part of this work-life balance thing I am trying to express. Platform for Career Growth/Exploration - This is a fast-growing tech company with different types of career positions opening up. I have seen support team members evolve into software educators, client services folks transition their transferable skills to sales and vice versa, IT support staff that grow into cloud services engineers or Java dev roles, educators to business analysts, the list goes on and on. Travel - I've travelled to many cities in the last two years that I have never been to, which makes this career all the better.

Cons

My team knows that if I have an issue, I directly address it internally, NOT on a public forum. So what could the cons be? Well, this is happens to be a rapidly growing technology company that bought two other companies in the last year and change. This means we have many people juggling many balls in air at the same time, and sometimes a ball gets dropped, like at any typical company. That being said, the one time a "ball was dropped" and a mistake was made that affected me, I was able to address it directly with my team leader and it was rectified promptly, to my pleasure.

Pros

The strongest aspect of the company is the resilience and talent of many of its individual contributors. I worked with smart, creative people who consistently found ways to keep critical functions operating despite significant operational and resource constraints. The environment offered extensive hands-on experience with complex systems, cross-functional dependencies, and high-volume operational problem solving. Employees often gained rapid professional growth simply because they were required to manage responsibilities well beyond the scope of their formal roles.

Cons

The company’s operational philosophy often seemed to confuse endurance with effectiveness. Employees were expected to absorb expanding responsibilities indefinitely, even when workloads had clearly exceeded sustainable limits. In some cases, entire operational domains were effectively owned by a single individual with little redundancy, limited support, and no realistic contingency planning. Leadership frequently discussed innovation and growth while failing to address basic organizational health issues such as staffing adequacy, process ownership, and burnout prevention. Months of excessive workload and escalating pressure resulted in predictable employee exhaustion, yet meaningful intervention from management or HR never materialized. There was also a noticeable tendency to treat systemic operational failures as isolated employee challenges instead of acknowledging broader leadership and resourcing problems. This created an environment where highly capable people spent more time compensating for organizational instability than performing strategic work.
