Pros
Modernizing Medicine's culture is warm and relaxed. We all work incredibly hard developing, selling & supporting our specialty specific software with the goal of increasing practice efficiencies, lowering operating costs and improving patient outcomes. So having that relaxed culture where we can enjoy one another as friends & colleagues while we work that hard makes all the difference in morale. I've never felt so supported & believed in. There is a massive amount of growth potential for people who are truly exceptional and are willing to go above & beyond what is asked of them. Combining that with the lofty goals for what we're trying to accomplish helps me push through the challenging days. The MMwit (Modernizing Medicine Women in Technology & Innovation) Group was launched about a year ago and is a supportive environment (thats also open to men) that focuses on mentoring and community outreach through volunteering amongst other fun things like yoga during lunch & book clubs. There are also great benefits for those at the corporate office that include treadmill desks that you can reserve for 30 mins at at time, the Zenroom (that is so relaxing), monthly massages, dry cleaning service, free lunch on Mon & Thurs that always includes a great salad bar & warm options. Regardless of where you work all full-time employees benefit from 401k (with 4% matching) and medical/dental, short & long-term disability, etc.
Cons
You have to be willing to work hard. You can't accomplish the goal of modernizing medicine without pushing yourself. There is so much growth that there are inevitably some growing pains. So you have to keep your eye on the positive things (and there are a lot of them!) instead of fixating on the challenges of being part of an incredibly fast-growing company. In contrast to similar companies in Silicon Valley where they expect people to work 70-120 hours in a week...we really have nothing to complain about!
