Pros
Entire place is like family. Workplace is fair, great group of people to work with. Couldn't be happier; been there for years have no desire to go anywhere else. The town is small, so if you're thinking of transferring don't waste your time if you're turned off by the Amish buggies driving by. Keep a copy of all emails because though there is no room for movement up the ladder here (because there is no ladder - you're one step up from the top), the engineers in Racine are constantly being promoted so keeping a record of whom you talked to and what they agreed to is critical unless you want to pitch your story again. Company picnic, employee appreciation week, bingo, great benefits, lots of vacation days and shut down in summer. Nice. Management very open to ideas.
Cons
Very small company so hard to move up the corporate ladder. Great place if you just want to grow in the field you're in. Some of the customers are insane as far as their requirements. Automotive customers will be the death of you, so if you have a customer issue with automotive be prepared to have it suck every ounce of life you have in you for the next month and 90% of the time it's something they did and we have to cow-tow to them. Not company's fault - just customer's. Ford is the worst. GM is good to work with, heavy truck customers good.
