Pros
Flexible schedule, co-workers that really work together. Patient's that appreciate what we do. Feeling like you are making a difference.
Cons
Benefits have shrunk year over year. Clinical Ladder is unbelieveably complicated and requires way too much to maintain level. If you don't meet requirements, you are dropped a level and suffer at least a 5% pay cut, possibly more if you are placed in the low end of a lower level. Lack of adequate staffing. High nursing turnover. Management does not understand what the nurses do, or how hard they work. Low pay.
