Pros

Benefits, coworkers, VTO, and nothing else

Cons

Between constant turnover of management that have absolutely no knowledge of Medicaid, to Directors being brought in again with no knowledge of Medicaid or how to run a department. Back stabbing, favoritism blatantly shown within the circle of Directors with HR and even higher positions. You cannot complain to anyone nor HR as what should be in confidence goes to your manager and director as they all hang out together and children are in same sport. Change is expected in any job but when you have a Director who doesn't know what she/he is doing change is at an immediate pace constantly or over night. Felt more like you were doing their work so that when they went to their superior they had the information needed. Extremely stressful job. No work/life balance at all and no one to turn to for help. Even when you go to your manager you were told to go to HR and complain, and when you did that HR wrote it down and nothing what so ever was done. It is a shame the amount of good people that have left with out having a job to go to and no one from Corporate has noticed or called or interviewed anyone of them. I know of 5 people who left with out a job to go to and were so desperate and so stressed out they found this to be more of a way to be sane and release all that stress. Truly a shame as once I believed I could stay and retire from this company.

Pros

The on boarding, orientation, initial training, compensation,401k, employee stock program, benefits, perks, the gym, and prior to the Pandemic the professional growth workshops. They offer merit increases and bonuses.

Cons

Cross training can be peer to peer and for short time, yet you are held accountable to master it and audited even if you had little training or experience. There are culture and values along with"no retaliation and no harassment" policies, however there is also no one to take your concerns to that is non-biased. No one to handle the work place bullies or hold management accountable(HR?conflict resolution?) They let the repeated problem people carry on for too long. They do sneaky lay-offs. The internal job posting seems good except, if you apply and you meet all the qualifications your manager or others can block you! They will let you apply to several positions, maybe even on your team or department and will not let you transition or go to another position. Management will not even tell you the reason they need you on the team and won't let you get hired on another team.
