Pros
Before you read, please note that I started at Mondo only a month before COVID hit, so I can't give an opinion on what Mondo was like before the pandemic changed things. 1. There's a lot of room for growth and you see it throughout the company. Even during the pandemic, there were people moving up. 2. Snacks and dogs in the office! 3. Colleagues were some of the best - it felt like a family and we supported each other. 4. My direct managers genuinely care about your well-being and want to see you succeed. 5. Awesome full-time job right out of college if you want to grow within a company. 6. Benefits - health, PTO, expensing LinkedIn and phone bill, etc 7. We were also able to expense work from home supplies when offices shut down, so that made the transition easier. 8. Finding and placing candidates into positions, some of whom need work desperately, is very rewarding.
Cons
1. Not much in the way of work-life balance, even before COVID. But that's part of working a real job and that's what makes it such a money driven position. 2. Upper management told us layoffs weren't going to happen, then they started firing people and saying it's due to performance. I'm not sure if that kind of turnover is normal for Mondo, but it made the execs seem dishonest about where the company is with the pandemic. 3. The work was draining and that's understandable to an extent when the company is in trouble, but there should've been more understanding and support for mental well-being (not just Headspace and motivational quotes).
