Pros
Compensation and benefits are better than average. Some teams are genuinely great to work for and with.
Cons
There is absolutely no direction that makes sense. Priorities change overnight, formerly scraped projects are suddenly back and formerly hyped ideas dumped to the scrap heap to be resurrected again later. No one is willing to own their processes and the IT team is a disaster. Projects take forever, aren't given adequate resources to be successful, and the infrastructure is ancient without any staff remaining who understand how it really works so it is held together with band aids. Probably worst of all the company has invested in an extremely bloated top heavy leadership structure. So while the strategic direction doesn't exist it is also expensive and there aren't any resources left to implement what is there.
