Pros
At MoneyGram, I had a privilege of working with passionate and committed colleagues worldwide. The people were truly the company’s greatest asset, many of whom were also MoneyGram customers, which brought an extra level of purpose and connection to the work we did.
Cons
The new CEO appointed by the PE company turned MoneyGram into the most stressful and toxic environment. Frequent change of priorities, near weekly layoffs have created ongoing anxiety and uncertainty among employees. Morale has fallen sharply, and it’s hard to find people who enjoy working at MoneyGram anymore. The best talent has already left the company and many tenured employees were pushed out MoneyGram. The new leadership keeps talking about “re-founding” MoneyGram”, but the actual results tell a different story.
