Pros
With new feature set announced for v. 4.0, MongoDB is on its way to sitting at the database grown ups table. The leaders know what they’re doing and general confidence is high. Perks are very good. Smart co-workers, nice office atmosphere.
Cons
As company has grown so have the inevitable politics. Favoritism abounds in some departments. Long time employees are leaving as playing the political game is what it takes to get ahead vs focusing on outstanding work. Sad to see the database engine that could overcome by politics as humongous as the database itself.
