Pros

The company culture is the best I've experienced in my career. The collaboration cross-functionally within the business is phenomenal, and there's a true sense of everyone pulling in the same direction as the company continues to grow. Salary and benefits are very competitive, and although you will work hard if you intend to succeed, there is a real emphasis on work/life balance. Office facilities are top class also, and most roles have the option to WFH either part-time or full-time. One of the key pros of working at MongoDB is the attitude towards individual growth and career progression. You own your own growth plan, and you know what the expected competencies for each role are. So, if there's a particular promotion you're working towards, you know where you need to focus your efforts in order to get there. There are plenty of opportunities and it is a true meritocracy.

Cons

This may only read as a con for some, but given the industry we work in, there are always technical concepts, ideas and terminologies we need to stay up to date with. If you love to learn and be challenged in your job, then this is not an issue at all. However, it is not the type of company where you can learn all there is to learn within a period of time and be done - Every day is a school day!

Pros

Supportive people, a strong culture, and meaningful flexibility are the biggest positives. I've had the chance to work with thoughtful colleagues who care about doing good work and helping each other succeed. There are solid opportunities to learn, build relationships across teams, and contribute in a way that feels impactful.

Cons

Workloads can be heavy during busy periods, and priorities can sometimes shift quickly (which is expected in growing companies)
