Business Outlook

Pros

True servant leadership from tenured and experienced team Product is top of the pack, essentially no competitors can do everything that ours can Strong onboarding and training program (3 different academy levels during 6 month ramp) that provides great foundation Solutions architects are incredibly knowledgeable and true partners to the sales team Product is continuing to get better with no slowdown in R&D spend Great strategic (hyperscalers, ISV, SIs, etc.) partnerships to aid in GTM Most involved VP sales leadership that I've seen at any company

Cons

Ramp here is longer and more difficult than I initially thought Needing to "earn" better accounts weeds out people that aren't willing to work hard, but success is very achievable (this is being addressed in fiscal '24) While Mongo is the best DB platform out there, there is true competition in the space, especially for simpler applications that don't require full suite of tooling/features Emphasis on being data driven leads some to "play the numbers" to look good

Pros

Supportive people, a strong culture, and meaningful flexibility are the biggest positives. I've had the chance to work with thoughtful colleagues who care about doing good work and helping each other succeed. There are solid opportunities to learn, build relationships across teams, and contribute in a way that feels impactful.

Cons

Workloads can be heavy during busy periods, and priorities can sometimes shift quickly (which is expected in growing companies)
