Pros
Prestigious Brand: Working for Montage carries a lot of weight on a resume; the standards for service and operations are incredibly high, which is great for professional development. Supportive Team: The Front Office and management teams were generally very supportive and collaborative. Everyone helps each other out when occupancy is high. The Location: You can't beat the views or the access to the outdoors. Being ski-in/ski-out is a massive perk if you enjoy winter sports. Employee Culture: Great cafeteria (ADR) and a strong sense of community among the staff since the location is somewhat remote.
Cons
Peak Season Intensity: As a Rooms Controller, the high-occupancy periods (holidays/ski season) are intense and require expert time management to juggle room blocks and VIP requests. Cost of Living: Big Sky is expensive, so navigating housing and daily costs requires budgeting, though the resort does offer resources to help, such as subsidized housing and free lunches.
