Pros

Moody's has a laid back academic culture where work life balance is encouraged. Flexibility in work schedule is a big plus

Cons

Compensation is not competitive. When you get a promotion, do not expect any change in scope of responsibilities or adjustment in compensation. Lot's of double standards for promotion guidelines.

Pros

Great work-life balance. Decent benefit.

Cons

They don't pay you much. They don't treat engineers as profession. They think engineers are all the same and can swap any of them them with joiner engineers or contractors. They thought they can hire a contractor for 4 months for a project. They took a full month to get a laptop for a contractor, took one more month to get them through onboarding, then took one more month to get them use to the codebase, then the contractor wrote one line, then the 4 months was up. We had to repeat the process with a new contractor.
